run past the heather and down to the old road.....

I never though I'd be assigned to a place like Omaha, Nebraska. I'm in the middle of the 3-4 week stay and it is an interesting place. Very calm, very clean and really pretty. Omaha, somewhere in the middle of America. Actually it sits right on the boarder of Nebraska and Iowa which are separated (not only by intelligence but) by the Missouri River.

Here is a skyline (very dark) shot of downtown Omaha. Below that is a picture of the sign I pass on my way to my home away from home, Council Bluffs, Iowa. This week I'm staying in Omaha and should go out a couple times with people from work, all of which are really nice.

Omaha is a place I could see myself ending up. I just wish some musical group from the 90's would write a song about this place and include gathered water, grain, and an old man.

-roll a new love over.

cute picture

check this one out.......

I mean really.......

they don't make cute like this anymore.

364 shopping days left

So on June 2nd I turned 29 years old. Twenty-Nine. In celebration (or memorium) I threw myself a BBQ at my house in the LP. I hoped the turn out was bigger but was incredibly thankful for everyone who came out. I had a mixed group of old and new friends, work folks and some surprise guests. Looking back I wouldn't have changed anything.

For everyone who came out, thanks........

Christopher turns Two

My nephew turned two on May 24th. We had a birthday party for him and he had a blast opening presents (his favorite part is ripping the paper). He amazes me everytime I see him, he is getting really smart. Every day he adds new words and sentences to his vocabulary, discovers new things and is always smiling or laughing. I think he truly is a miracle and no matter what's going on in my life, good or bad, whatever is preoccupying me. Seeing my nephew brings a smile to my face and I think that with him in the world, nothing is ever that bad.

Thanks Christopher.

What!!!!! YEAH!!!!!! OKAY!!!!!

I mean really. Look at this guys watch.

This is my first true a-list celebrity.

To date I've met Vanilla Ice, Ron Jeremy, Vince Neil (motley crue -- he bought me drinks), Lil'John, Wee-Man, Fez, Criss Angel, Howie Day and Zach De La Rocha.

The reason I call Lil'John A-List is he is still current and making "music." My true opinion is he is famous for yelling and being a gimmick. But whatever it was fun running him down with Parul. Skeet Skeet Skeet Skeet.

pre-birthday vegas style

Me, Mike, Mindy, Willie, Parul, Sara, Lauren and Rayanne decended upon Las Vegas the weekend before my birthday to celebrate for a couple reasons including me turning 29, Paruls birthday and Sara's pending nuptuals.
All I can say is this was the most fun I've had in vegas to date. We stayed at the Paris Hotel and Casino and spent the days poolside as a DJ played loud club music sipping gigantic fruity drinks checking out all the "talent" and boy were they talented. At night we would begin at the craps tables (or blackjack) and gamble our paychecks away. I did fairly well playing rather conservativly, relying on the pass line and either 6 or 8 to slowly build my fortune.

After gambling got old (or we ran out of cash) we would hit up a club to round out the night. We partied at Tao (venetian) and Body English (Hard Rock) both very diffrent, both very loud with expensive drinks and beautiful women.

I saw several famous people as is my M.O. Lil'John, Wee Man, Wilmer Valderamma, Criss Angel and some guy from "pimp my ride."

Each night ended with 5:00am quesadillas and very light sleep.

We're going next year so if anyone's down, start saving.
